Personal bio

Nicolas St. Constantinides is a Partner at Tassos Papadopoulos & Associates LLC.

His principal areas of practice focus on commercial law, company law and construction law in the context of which he advises international and local clients from a wide range of industries in both contentious and non-contentious matters. He regularly represents parties to arbitration and litigation proceedings. Nicolas also regularly advises in the areas of contract law, tenancy disputes, competition law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, torts and consults on various regulatory and compliance matters.

Prior to practising law, Nicolas served as a diplomat at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Cyprus to the EU in Brussels for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the Government’s relations with the European Parliament. Nicolas also represented Cyprus at the EU Council Working Party on Transatlantic Relations and coordinated inter-institutional relations during the 2012 Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council, dealing with an array of legislative dossiers.

Nicolas is currently serving as the President of the Kyrenia Bar Association, one of the local bar associations of Cyprus and sits as an ex officio member of the Councils of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Advocates Pension Fund. He is also a Member of the Delegation of the Cyprus Bar Association to the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE). Nicolas is also currently serving as a Director of the Cyprus Arbitration and Mediation Centre (CAMC).

Nicolas is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Nicolas is accredited by the Ministry of Justice of Cyprus as a Mediator in civil and commercial disputes and is a mediator at the Cyprus Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CCADR).

Nicolas graduated with a degree in Law (LLB Hons) in 2008 and an LLM in International Law with Distinction in 2009, both from the University of Surrey. He then undertook his vocational training at the College of Law of England & Wales, London Bloomsbury, completing the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) in 2010. He was Called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in November of 2010.
